Pa Anthony Bankole 
Grassroots Program Coordinator 

Pa Anthony Babalola Bankole is ENARMAC’s Grassroots Program Coordinator and Site Manager for the Community Herbal Heritage Project at Otun Ekiti in Moba Local Government Area of Ekiti State, Nigeria. He was one of those who facilitated the allocation of the 10ha fallow land for the project in July 1993. 

Mr. Anthony Bankole is a Community Leader with a great reservoir of indigenous knowledge about plant resources conservation and utilisation. He is a highly principled person, thorough and forthright. 

The project which is being promoted by the Great League of Pioneers for Community Sustainable Development (GLOPCSD) is one of Federal Ministry of Environment’s unique strategies for promoting community participation in biodiversity conservation in the spirit of the International Convention on Biological Diversity as adopted at the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in June 1992.
